Following the opening of the CAEP 2024 Summit, attendees will enjoy a break featuring light refreshments. This break is designed to refresh and energize participants as they prepare to engage in the first session block, complete check in if needed and it is setting the stage for a productive and insightful kick off to the Summit.

Collaborative Strategies for Student Success: Promoting Completion, Transitions, and Livable Wages Through CAEP Partnerships

This session explores collaborative strategies for promoting completion, transitions, and livable wages among California's adult learners through CAEP partnerships. Participants will discuss national perspectives on student success, the unique California adult education system, and the positive student outcomes of collaboration between adult schools and community colleges. The presentation will highlight evidence-based strategies from the Promising Practices report.

Leveraging Data Tools for Impactful Three-Year Planning in California Adult Education

Addressing AB 1491 with Consortium Bylaws: A hands-on workshop to develop and update bylaws using methods from SOCRC to create systemic policy that defines member effectiveness, supports fiscal responsibility and guides consortium governance

Join members of the South Orange County Regional Consortium as they describe how the consortium developed policies to address new CAEP legislation under AB 1491. The SOCRC team will lead you through activities that will guide you in the development of new or updated bylaws for your consortium. Audience interaction is encouraged to highlight policy needs and share best practices. Electronic access to the bylaw development materials will be available to participants.
