This presentation explores the collaborative efforts of the Rio Hondo Region Adult Education Consortium in organizing "Job-Alike" events. Apple Valley Adult School in Collaboration with Victor Valley College has increased enrollments and outcomes for both institutions. We took a look at students' needs and were able to increase ESL and CTE programs for our students. Facilities use agreements and data sharing have helped both programs to grow and build capacity.

Supporting new CTE instructors is crucial for their success and the success of their students. This session will explore best practices, including mentorship, professional development, and inclusive teaching strategies. Participants will engage in interactive activities to brainstorm solutions and role-play scenarios, ensuring a practical understanding of how to support new CTE instructors effectively. Attendees will also learn about the unique challenges faced by CTE instructors in California.

OTAN’s Rural Coaching Project provides free specialized coaching and extended technical support to adult education agencies in sparsely populated areas of the state. Working with educators and aligning support with agency goals, OTAN can provide customized guidance on a number of technology integration topics. In this presentation, we will describe the project in-depth and how rural agencies can participate in this opportunity. Our goal is to support our rural adult education agencies!
