Current trends and national data suggest that Western civilization is in decline or free fall, depending on the topic. The good news is that citizens believe educators will be the ones to turn it around. If we want to transform the system, then we have to start with transforming our beliefs about the system. That requires that we ask the right questions of our students, staff, and each other.

The tools consist of a quarterly fiscal report, a facilities and equipment review, and an annual member self-assessment that ties to the three-year plan. The SOCRC team will lead you through several activities to get you started on the development of your own tools to meet the needs of your agencies.

The struggle is real! Student retention is one of the most critical challenges in adult education. When attendance is down, student progress slows, and educator frustration grows. In this session, we will explore the problem but, more importantly, seek practical solutions. Utilizing the innovative research and hands-on experimentation of adult educators across the country, teachers and administrators will gain applicable learning strategies and engagement activities to keep students coming back.
