Grossmont Adult Education (GAE) has developed an IET model that allows EL instructors to provide language literacy and fluency instruction to students across multiple CTE healthcare training programs by focusing on aligned CTE Anchor Standards and COAPPS. This model allows access to EL support for a much larger student population providing instruction in class, individually, and through the Canvas Learning Management System.

Many adult schools do not have the benefit of a full time ‘Accessibility expert’, yet the law requires that educational materials are accessible to all learners. How do you get that done? Join us for a collaborative discussion regarding potential solutions to help your agency and teachers have a plan to ensure digital materials comply with the American with Disabilities act and 508 compliance, for all learners. Come away inspired and with strategies in hand! Admin bring your staff and teachers!

In 2018, the Contra Costa County Workforce Collaborative (CCWC) was formed by 10 regional organizations creating a new collaborative model that would more efficiently and comprehensively leverage workforce development funds and expand the programs and services of the American Job Centers of California (AJCCs) countywide.
This collaboration created a first-time seamless, coordinated system for delivery of diverse employment services to jobseekers throughout Contra Costa County.

Integrating AI in adult education enhances ESL, GED, and CTE learning. AI-powered tools offer personalized lessons for teachers and feedback for the student while improving language and writing acquisition. AI tools target individual needs in academic subjects while help prepare the student for the workforce. AI tools can also be used to help students with cognitive disability disabilities improve their learning experiences at your agency.
