This presentation and panel will showcase how the Economic Development Collaborative partnered with the Ventura County Adult Education Consortium to develop and deliver a bilingual short-format Computer Basics course to over 500 people in under 2 years. Apple Valley Adult School in Collaboration with Victor Valley College has increased enrollments and outcomes for both institutions. We took a look at students' needs and were able to increase ESL and CTE programs for our students. Facilities use agreements and data sharing have helped both programs to grow and build capacity.

How Can teachers ensure that the knowledge and skill/s from the CCRS reading standards are explicitly taught and integrated with a text? This session will introduce participants to a generic reading lesson plan in which teachers can collaboratively design a lesson and apply it to any CCRS Reading Anchor Standard with any text. This integration leads to specific evidence of student learning and helps generate evidence-based instructional approaches and practices.
