Tech Tools for Formative Assessment

We look at some formative assessment tools that participants can use during class to help determine where students are and how to help learners as they work with lesson materials. We also consider using AI tools to create formative assessments. Formative assessment tools include poll and survey tools, tools to present and assess simultaneously, classic tools like Kahoot and Quizlet, and exit tickets. Attendees will practice and understand how to use these tools in the classroom.

This workshop will provide an update on how many CAEP regional consortia have exceeded the 20% threshold in Year 1, and how many members have exceeded their consortium-determined threshold for Year 1. Addressing AB 1491 with Consortium Bylaws: A hands-on workshop to develop and update bylaws using methods from SOCRC to create systemic policy that defines member effectiveness, supports fiscal responsibility and guides consortium governance

Join members of the South Orange County Regional Consortium as they describe how the consortium developed policies to address new CAEP legislation under AB 1491. The SOCRC team will lead you through activities that will guide you in the development of new or updated bylaws for your consortium. Audience interaction is encouraged to highlight policy needs and share best practices. Electronic access to the bylaw development materials will be available to participants.

k12 Adult School Leverages Community College partnership to expand classes and increase payment points .

Apple Valley Adult School in Collaboration with Victor Valley College has increased enrollments and outcomes for both institutions. We took a look at students' needs and were able to increase ESL and CTE programs for our students. Facilities use agreements and data sharing have helped both programs to grow and build capacity.
