Tech Tools for Formative Assessment

We look at some formative assessment tools that participants can use during class to help determine where students are and how to help learners as they work with lesson materials. We also consider using AI tools to create formative assessments. Formative assessment tools include poll and survey tools, tools to present and assess simultaneously, classic tools like Kahoot and Quizlet, and exit tickets. Attendees will practice and understand how to use these tools in the classroom.

This proposal showcases the collaborative efforts between the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) and the San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE) in fostering inter-agency transitions. k12 Adult School Leverages Community College partnership to expand classes and increase payment points .

Apple Valley Adult School in Collaboration with Victor Valley College has increased enrollments and outcomes for both institutions. We took a look at students' needs and were able to increase ESL and CTE programs for our students. Facilities use agreements and data sharing have helped both programs to grow and build capacity.
