Welcoming English Language Learners into Healthcare Occupations: How South Orange County Regional Consortium designed and implemented five comprehensive integrated ELL Healthcare Pathway programs with over 90 percent completion rate in one semester

The SOCRC ELL Healthcare Pathway team will share how they put together a comprehensive plan to recruit students, train instructors, develop a support team and implement five distinct ELL integrated health care career programs in less than one semester. They will discuss how they were able to work across agencies to support students and instructors throughout the first cohort term and resolve issues as a team. The presentation will culminate with the regional celebration of student success.

Helping Adult Students validate their high school and Foreign degrees

Fresno City College – Building Multiple On-Ramps for Adult School Students. We’re not just taking referrals anymore, we’re living on our adult school campuses!

This session will discuss the various opportunities that are being created for adult school students that can help them get a jump start on their college education. This presentation will explore the transformative impact of SB554 and the DARTE (Directing Adults onto the Right TrAC for Employment) Learning Community at San Joaquin Delta College. SB554 provides a legislative framework allowing adult school students to concurrently enroll in community college courses, thereby accelerating their educational and career trajectories. The DARTE program is a pioneering initiative designed to leverage this opportunity, creating equitable pathways for adults.
