We will review strategies and the model that helped our program increase our paired scores to become top 3 in our region. The presentation will speak about strategies used in the classroom, clerical, administrators and the whole team at SAS to encourage students to persist and for students to consider the CASAS assessment an ally. We will also discuss the use of CASAS and data to make data-based lessons and decisions.

Apple Valley Adult School in Collaboration with Victor Valley College has increased enrollments and outcomes for both institutions. We took a look at students' needs and were able to increase ESL and CTE programs for our students. Facilities use agreements and data sharing have helped both programs to grow and build capacity.

Supporting new CTE instructors is crucial for their success and the success of their students. OTAN’s Rural Coaching Project provides free specialized coaching and extended technical support to adult education agencies in sparsely populated areas of the state. Working with educators and aligning support with agency goals, OTAN can provide customized guidance on a number of technology integration topics. In this presentation, we will describe the project in-depth and how rural agencies can participate in this opportunity. Our goal is to support our rural adult education agencies!
