Intentional Immigrant Integration: Supporting immigrant students and their families with the immigrant integration framework as a guide to support partnership and program development

Immigrants are vital to California and comprise the majority of participants in the California Adult Education Program (CAEP) participants. CAEP consortia across the state are utilizing the Immigrant Integration framework as a tool to support intentional partnership and program development to support immigrant students. This session will highlight successful projects, lessons learned and provide tools for consortia looking to start their own.

Principal Sean Abajian will share results from a new statewide survey of adult school principals regarding SIS concerns. Then he will talk about the latest SIS he created and its recent implementation in two schools. The new system is fully customized for adult schools with online registration, automated messaging, teacher & student portals, student plans & live dashboards using low-code software.

The research team at North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE) collaborated with the Campus Communications Office to assess the impact of third-party marketing efforts that have been utilized to help recruit new students to their standalone noncredit institution. This session will focus on how the research department evaluated ongoing marketing efforts to enhance enrollment growth and promote cross-departmental collaboration.
